I liked the book, or rather,...I liked the idea behind it and the plot that was developed from it. Though I never had ...tangible pictures in my mind when I read it (which may have to do with Bacigalupi's being quite distant to his characters). But now...you gave that vision to me with your illustration. Which is really amazing. And I don't need to tell you how wonderful and powerful it is executed! Thank You!
Great collection of work, I have come across your works in Imagin FX. This is by far one of my fave Digital paintings I have ever seen. The color pallet and the sence of scale is perfectly exicuted. How long does it take you to produce an image like this? Do you do a research before hand?
This cover caught my eye in the bookstore a while back; I started reading the book because of it. Just coincidence that I came across this now, but I'm glad I did. Your art is wonderful. So detailed, so gritty, so believable.
Woah - this is great. I started reading this book a while ago, and when I saw your daily deviation "street scene," it reminded me of the cover. I didn't realize until just now that you had actually made the cover for The Wind Up Girl! (:
*Sigh* Someday I'll finally getting around to reading it. Man, this image pops up everywhere though. Was flipping through Spectrum 18 the other day at a bookstore and this one jumped right off the pages.
