special effets got the power !

I am still wondering when producers can spend so much money on visual effects (and on this movie I must say that they are impressive!) why couldn't they pay also for a good script?

I mean, It is so rare to see a good mix between impressive visuals and deep, interesting story!
I Think will stick to my blade runner, brazil, and children of men for a long time
Maybe Marketing/productions are still afraid to loose money on good movies ...

anyways, spent a good time with my pop corns, enjoyed it, but will forget it tomorrow and won't buy the DVD
